Youth Jazz Intensive
Founded in 2025, our Youth Jazz Intensive programs bring together high school musicians from around the country for a five day immersion in performance, collaboration, and career building with esteemed musicians, teachers, and industry professionals.

The Los Angeles Jazz Festival Foundation’s Youth Jazz Intensive is a free, weeklong program offered in both the summer and winter. We bring together talented young musicians for high-quality jazz education, mentorship, and collaborative performance experiences.
Students gain:
• Masterclasses with professional artists
• Jazz theory, history, and improvisation workshops
• Ensemble rehearsals and peer collaboration
• College and career preparation in the arts
• Leadership skills, confidence, and community connection
