Making Good Treble

Connecting John Lewis to John Coltrane

About Us

The Los Angeles Jazz Festival Foundation was created to help close the enormous music education gap, particularly in underserved communities.

We are improving the health and welfare of underserved youth and families by bridging jazz, music, arts and culture with those in need through our program initiatives.

The LA Jazz Festival Foundation (LAJFF), a 501(c)3, is the philanthropic arm of the LA Jazz Festival Corporation and is dedicated to the philanthropic work of the LA Jazz Festival and will support underserved communities through the power and magic of music.

Our Goals

Uplift

Educate

Along the way we capture the impact of our programs through data-driven evaluation, documenting success stories and refining strategies to maximize outcomes for students and communities.

Ultimately, our program’s broadens horizons by expanding access to jazz education, reaching more communities, and creating pathways for growth and opportunity for aspiring musicians.

Our Foundation elevates lives through jazz education, empowering underserved youth with creativity, confidence, and opportunities for a brighter future. Join us in fostering growth.

We help enrich minds with the transformative power of jazz, providing comprehensive music education to cultivate talent, academic excellence, and lifelong learning.
